About us

The 64th Brandywine Outdoor Service Guides was founded in 2014 by parents who were looking for community-oriented, secular, and inclusive scouting adventures for their families.

The 64th Brandywine welcomes youth and adult members from southern Chester Country, PA school districts including Oxford Area, Octorara, Avon Grove, Unionville-Chadds Ford, and the nearby region.

About Outdoor Service Guides

Outdoor Service Guides (OSG), formerly The Baden-Powell Service Association (BPSA-US), was formed in the U.S. in 2006 as an independent and traditional-style scouting association. OSG continues the program and principles of the founders of the Scouting Movement in 1907. OSG aims to promote good citizenship and wholesome physical, mental, and moral development, as well as training in habits of observation, discipline, self-reliance, loyalty, and useful skills.

OSG also believes this program should be available to everyone, youth and adult, regardless of gender identity, religious choice, sexual orientation, race, ability, income level, or nationality. We welcome all families.

The OSG program is completely volunteer run and focused on keeping participation costs low for all families and participants. There is no full-time or part-time paid staff.

OSG is totally independent of, and not affiliated with, either the Boy Scouts of America or the Girl Scouts of the USA. We are members of the World Federation of Independent Scouts (WFIS).
